Three Travel Bites of the Week

Another Friday, another three bites of travel out of the web:

1. If you’re going to the Travel Blog Exchange’s TBEX ’10 in New York this June, look forward to a new session called the Community Keynote. The session will highlight the best travel blog posts across nine different categories ranging from “Talking to Strangers – The People You Meet” to “In Transit – The Perils (and Joys) of Transportation.” Personally, I’ll be entering my post on my accident-prone trip to Paris in the “Trips & Falls” category (http://tr.im/Oxd0).  Even if you can’t make it to NYC, you can still submit your post for consideration. Check out their site for more information at  http://tr.im/Ox9A.

2. Facebook fan pages are a great way to give your travel blog more exposure and Travels of Adam gives tips on how to customize your fan page. Adam provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a customized welcome page which is the first thing a fan sees when they click on your page so it is important to make it as appealing as possible. I think it is awesome of him to put together these instructions and share it with everyone so visit http://tr.im/OQwV and get started.

3. I’ve started working on my Passion Board, have you? Got Passport came up with this artistic idea to cut out words or pictures from magazines that represent your passion, whether it be travel, books, music, sports, or food, and paste it all onto a poster board creating a collage. With this visual it is easier to focus on what is most important in your life – your passions. Got Passport is inviting everyone to create a Passion Board and share it on your blog and invite others, through Twitter, to get creative as well. I will be posting a picture of my Passion Board soon. Visit http://gotpassport.wordpress.com/ for more information.

Have a good weekend!
